Privacy notice

How I handle the information you share through this website and by email, in plain language.

The short version

  • I collect only what you send me through the inquiry form or by email, plus your IP address briefly to block spam.
  • I use it to read your message, reply, and discuss a possible project. Nothing else.
  • This website uses no advertising cookies, analytics or tracking.
  • I never sell your details, share them for marketing, or add you to a mailing list.
  • Inquiries that don't become projects are deleted within 12 months.
  • You can ask to see, correct or delete your details at any time by emailing abiolaayoola57@gmail.com.

The rest of this notice explains each point in more detail.

Who is responsible

This website, azillion.net, is run by Ayoola Abiola, an independent professional trading under the name AzillionNet and based in Nigeria. When this notice says "I", "me" or "my", it means Ayoola Abiola. When it says "you", it means anyone who visits the website or contacts me through it.

I decide how and why your personal information is used, so under data protection law I am the "data controller" for it. AzillionNet is a one-person business, so I handle privacy matters myself rather than through a separate data protection officer. You can reach me about anything in this notice at abiolaayoola57@gmail.com.

This notice covers personal information collected through this website and through any emails we exchange about a possible project. If we go on to work together, our project agreement may contain further terms about information you share with me during the project, and those terms will apply alongside this notice.

What information I collect

I collect only the information needed to answer your inquiry and, if we work together, to run the project.

Optional detailsAnything else you choose to add, such as your business or organization, timeline, budget range and preferred contact methodYou, through the inquiry form

Technical informationYour IP address and basic request data needed to deliver the form and block spamYour browser, automatically, when you submit the form
Website hosting logsYour IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the requestYour browser, automatically, recorded by my hosting provider

You don't have to give me any of this, but I can't reply to an inquiry without at least your name, an email address and some idea of your project.

Please don't send sensitive information through the form or by email. That includes passwords, bank or card details, government identification numbers, and information about health, religion, political views or similar matters. If something of that kind arrives anyway, I will delete it unless it is genuinely needed for the work and you have agreed to its use.

How I use it and why I'm allowed to

Data protection law requires a lawful reason for each use of personal information. These are the only ways I use yours, and the reason that applies to each.

What I use it forInformation usedLawful reason
Reading and replying to your inquiry, and discussing a possible projectInquiry details, optional details, correspondenceTaking steps you have asked for before we enter into a contract; also my legitimate interest in responding to people who contact me
Carrying out a project if we agree to work togetherCorrespondence and project informationPerforming our contract
Blocking spam and abuse of the inquiry formIP address and request dataMy legitimate interest in keeping the website and my inbox secure
Keeping business, tax and accounting recordsCorrespondence, invoices and project recordsComplying with legal obligations
Establishing or defending legal claims, if a dispute ever arisesThe records relevant to the disputeMy legitimate interest in protecting my legal rights

Where I rely on legitimate interests, I have weighed those interests against your rights and kept the use limited to what is necessary. You can object to any use based on legitimate interests (see "Your rights" below).

I don't use your information for advertising, profiling or automated decision-making. No decision about you is made by software alone. If I ever want to use your information for a new purpose, I will tell you first and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent.

Who receives your information

I don't sell, rent or trade your personal information, and I don't share it with anyone for their own marketing. The only outside parties who handle it are service providers who help me run the website and my email, and who act on my instructions.

Service providerWhat they doWhat they handle
ResendDelivers inquiry form submissions to my inboxEverything you submit through the form
Cloudflare (Turnstile)Screens submissions for spamIP address and request data
Google (Gmail)Hosts my business email accountCorrespondence and attachments
Cloudflare (Workers)Hosts the websiteHosting logs

These providers may use your information only to provide their service to me, not for their own purposes.

I may also disclose information in these limited situations:

  • Professional advisers. My accountant or lawyer, where needed for advice, under a duty of confidentiality.
  • Legal requirements. A court, regulator or law enforcement authority, where the law requires it or where it is necessary to protect my rights, your safety or the safety of others.
  • Business transfer. A person who takes over AzillionNet, in which case this notice would continue to protect your information and I would tell you about the change.

International transfers

I am based in Nigeria, and some of my service providers store or process information in other countries, including the United States. That means your information may be handled outside the country where you live.

When that happens, I use providers that offer recognised safeguards for international data, such as contractual data protection commitments, and I transfer only what is needed for the purpose described in this notice. Some transfers are also necessary simply to answer the inquiry you sent me or to perform our contract. You can ask me for more detail about the safeguards that apply to a particular provider.

How long I keep it

I keep personal information only as long as I need it for the purposes above, then delete it.

InformationHow long I keep it
Inquiries that don't become projectsDeleted within 12 months of our last contact
Project correspondence and recordsFor the length of the project, then for as long as tax, accounting and legal rules require
IP address and spam-screening dataOnly briefly: the website's own spam check holds it for about ten minutes, and the screening service only as long as it needs to
Website hosting logsKept by my hosting provider for a limited period set by that provider

If you ask me to delete your information sooner, I will, unless I have to keep part of it to meet a legal obligation or to deal with a legal claim. In that case I will tell you what I am keeping and why. Deleted information may remain in routine backups for a short time before it is overwritten.

How I protect it

I take reasonable steps to keep your information safe. The website uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, so form submissions are encrypted in transit. My email account is protected by a strong password and two-step verification, and I am the only person with access to it. I use established service providers with their own security programs.

No website or email system is completely secure, so I can't guarantee absolute security. If a breach affecting your information is likely to put your rights at real risk, I will tell you without undue delay and notify the relevant data protection authority where the law requires it.

Cookies and tracking

This website doesn't use advertising cookies, analytics tools, tracking pixels, or any technology that follows you across other websites. I don't build profiles of visitors. The website itself sets no cookies.

Because I don't track visitors across websites, "Do Not Track" signals and Global Privacy Control signals from your browser don't change how this website behaves. There is no tracking for them to switch off.

Your rights

You have the following rights over your personal information. Some depend on the law that applies to you and the reason I hold the information, but I will honour any reasonable request wherever you live.

RightWhat it means
AccessAsk whether I hold information about you and get a copy of it
CorrectionAsk me to fix information that is wrong or incomplete
DeletionAsk me to delete your information
RestrictionAsk me to pause using your information while a concern is resolved
ObjectionObject to my use of your information based on legitimate interests
PortabilityReceive information you gave me in a common, machine-readable format
Withdraw consentWhere I rely on your consent, withdraw it at any time, without affecting anything done before
Automated decisionsNot be subject to decisions made solely by automated means (I don't make any)

How to make a request. Email abiolaayoola57@gmail.com and tell me what you would like. Please write from the email address you used to contact me, or I may need to ask a question to confirm it's really you. I will respond within one month. If a request is unusually complex, I may need longer, and I will tell you why. There is no charge, unless a request is clearly unfounded or excessive.

If I can't fully meet a request, for example because the law requires me to keep certain records, I will explain why.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how I have handled your information, please email me first at abiolaayoola57@gmail.com. I will look into it and reply as quickly as I can, and in any case within one month.

You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority at any time. In Nigeria, that is the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (ndpc.gov.ng). If you live in another country, you can contact the data protection authority there. Contacting me first is not a condition of complaining to a regulator.

Children

This website and my services are meant for adults and businesses. They are not directed at anyone under 18, and I don't knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent me personal information, please let me know and I will delete it.

Visitors from the United States

I don't sell personal information, and I don't share it with third parties for their direct marketing or for cross-context behavioural advertising. Every right described in this notice is available to you, including access, correction and deletion, regardless of which state you live in. California residents may ask me, using the contact details below, whether I have shared personal information for direct marketing purposes. The answer is that I have not.

Changes to this notice

I may update this notice when my services, my providers or the law change. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed. If I make a significant change to how I use information I already hold about you, I will tell you directly by email before the change takes effect.
